Dimensions: 4'H x 3'W x variable D

Artist’s Statement: This double Sculpture belongs to my “Wounded” series, which speaks of human connections and relationships. The two pieces can swivel, adapting many different positions, in a dance that reflects on our deepest bonds and the mysteries of a couple’s love.
Artist Bio: M. Luna De Matteis was born overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Viña del Mar, Chile, on 1972’s Earth Day.
An early start as a traveler, when she was a doodling toddler, brought about a case of itchy feet, which she’s been trying to tame in San Diego, CA.
Using striking combinations of materials, from found and natural objects, to metals and semi precious stones, Luna creates one-of-a-kind two and three dimensional art that has an abstract, organic, and poetic character. Her work is in public and private collections in the US and abroad.
