Fairy Festival 2017

10am – 4pm


Calling all fairies! Come celebrate summer in the Eucalyptus Grove. Wear your fairy costume or come just as you are. Create a fairy house, make fairy treasures, leave messages on the wishing bush, or shop in the Fairyland market. Be sure to bring your camera for a picture with the Fairy Queen.

Cost: Free with paid admission or membership. Small fee for crafts. 

No adults in costumes please!

What to do at the Fairy Festival?

If desired, children are welcome to wear their favorite fairy costume. No adults in costumes please.
Stroll through the enchanted Fairy Garden in Seeds of Wonder. FREE

Visit our three Fairy Princesses Violette, Juniper and Blue Bell for a photo opportunity. Their thrones will be located in the enchanted Fairy Garden. Make sure to ask them for some Fairy Dust! FREE

Get a face paint in the Eucalyptus Grove. $2

Leave a wish at the Magic Wishing Bush in the Fairy Garden. FREE

Fairy Crafts

Crafts will be offered in the Eucalyptus Grove and on the patio of the Ecke Building

Fees for individual crafts range from $2 to $10

Most activities are offered as a kit. All crafts can be done during the event on our craft tables, or may be purchased “to go”. However, glue, paint, brushes, extra glitter and extra natural materials will be offered on the craft tables only, and will not be included in the “to go” kits.

All supplies are limited and the full selection of crafts may not be available throughout the entire event.
Flower Fairy Doll – volunteers will assist with assembling the dolls, you pick the flower petals, ribbons and color

Flower Fairy Baby Doll – volunteers will assist with assembling the doll

Fairy Swing – assemble and decorate a swing for your Flower Fairy Doll
You pick from a selection of natural branches already mounted into a clay pot. The craft kit contains the swing, fabric flowers, wooden ladybug, moss, mushroom, shell pieces, and a leaf garland. We will provide glitter and glue on the craft tables.

Fairy Baby Cradle – decorate a cradle for your Fairy Baby Doll
You pick from a selection of cradles made from coconut shells, beads and a crystal. The craft kit contains fabric flowers, tulle blanket, flower pillow, ribbon, rhinestones, and sequins. We will provide glue, glitter, and natural “mattress” material on the craft tables.

Treasure Chest
– paint, decorate and fill a wooden treasure box
The craft kit includes the wooden box and a selection of rhinestones, diamonds, pearls and sequins. We will provide glitter, glue, washable shiny tempera paint, and brushes on the craft tables.

Princess Castle – paint and decorate a ceramic princess castle
Ceramic castles may be purchased “to go”. The craft table offers washable shiny tempera paint, glitter, glue, brushes, and rhinestones.

Secret Crystal Magic Wand – decorate a magic wand made from a wooden stick and a wicker tip
The craft kit includes the wand, ribbons, hemp string, bells, fabric flowers, tulle circles, and crystals. Glitter and glue will be available on the craft tables.

Fairy glitter necklace
– fill a tiny glass bottle with your choice of either fairy dust, or shiny treasures, add a string and wear as a necklace.
The bottle comes with a hemp cord hanger already attached, in an organza gift baggy. The baggy also contains a package of fairy dust and an assortment of small pearls, diamonds and rhinestones. Makes a great gift to bring along from the Fairy Festival!

Fairy Garden with House Number 1 – create an enchanted garden with fairy house
This Fairy Garden kit includes a 10 inch bamboo basket, a full coconut shell with hole, a crystal table, a fairy mirror, a shell sink, a large magic crystal, a “launch chair”, glass stepping stones, a tiny wooden ladybug, a wicker wreath, and a mushroom. At the craft tables we will provide sand for filling the basket, a wide variety of natural material, and glitter.

Fairy Garden with House Number 2 - create an enchanted garden with fairy house
This Fairy Garden kit includes a 7 inch bamboo basket, a half coconut shell, a crystal table, a fairy mirror, a shell pond, a large magic crystal, stepping stones, a wicker bench, and tiny fabric flowers. At the craft tables we will provide sand for filling the basket, a wide variety of natural material, and glitter.

Food and Drinks

Cucina Caprese is serving wood oven pizza and drinks

Organic Food Truck offers a variety of fresh, healthy and delicious organic food and ice tea

Rita’s Italian Ice serves Italian Ice and Frozen Custard

A Drinking Water Station is provided for free
