School Field Trips, Guided Tours and Self-guided Group Visits

San Diego Botanic Garden offers three ways for groups to connect with plants and nature in an outdoor experience: individual class field trips; Docent-led general tours; and self-guided group visits. Field trips to the San Diego Botanic Garden are designed to help teachers reinforce the California Standards of Learning.

Docent-Led Guided General Tours
For groups larger than one classroom, (30-60 students) Docent-led guided tours are available. General tours and Native Plants/Native Peoples programs are available under this option. One-month prior notice is required.

Self-Guided Group Visits
For groups larger than 60 students, self-guided tours are appropriate. A map of the Garden is provided at the admissions booth.
