Hooded Oriole and Two Babies
A mother Hooded Oriole and two babies comfortably nested under a hanging banana leaf. The babies may only be a week from fledging but in the meantime they are sure keeping mom very busy. She returns with some sort of bug or grub food every few minutes. The nest itself is a work of engineering and art and is a good example of the lengths some birds go to to avoid predation of the young.
