Artist’s Statement: “The natural world is my sacred space. In the beauty and intricacy of a flower, the delicacy of a butterfly, the random growth of a cactus, I can find myself again and again.”

Artist’s Bio: Marsha Rafter is a visual artist working the medium of mosaics. Having first worked as a ceramic artist, she is notable for combining ceramic elements within her mosaics. Heavily influenced by her love of nature, her work includes sculpture for the garden, large wall installations, as well as gallery pieces. Rafter holds a BFA in ceramics, an MA in education, and has studied with over 25 mosaic artists in the past decade. Her work is in public and private collections throughout the U.S. and abroad.
