Common Name: Jammy Mouth, Hummingbird Plant
Origin: Africa (Family: Acanthaceae)
Growth Habit: A sprawling evergreen shrub maturing to a height of 4-6’ tall.
Cultural Requirements: Full sun to part shade. Prefers a well-draining soil and can tolerate temperatures down to about 35 degrees Fahrenheit.
Uses/Features: Border plantings, containers, and attractive to birds, butterflies, and other pollinators.
Bloom Time: Flowers appear from spring to fall and range from yellow to deep orange-red
